RUDY GIULIANI TO BE THE KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT LAVA INVESTMENT CAPITAL CONFERENCE

The Los Angeles Venture Association (LAVA) today announced that Rudy Giuliani will be the keynote speaker at this year's annual Investment Capital Conference. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, April 5, 7:00am to 6:00pm at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.

The Investment Capital Conference is the nation’s largest gathering of capital providers and growth companies seeking capital. This year’s theme “The Path to Success: Financing Your Company from Startup to Exit,” makes the event ideal for C-level executives, entrepreneurs, board members, active providers of equity and debt capital, key advisors and opinion leaders to receive insights from leading providers of growth financing.

“We are honored to have Rudy Giuliani as our keynote speaker at the 2006 Investment Capital Conference, which underlines this event’s status as the premier corporate finance conference and deal making forum in the nation,” said Crocker Coulson, chairman of the Investment Capital Conference and president of CCG Investor Relations.

“Rudy Giuliani is a great American success story who exemplifies qualities of vision, perseverance and leadership. Drawing from his vast experience in both the public and private sectors, Mr. Giuliani will provide insights as to the qualities leaders need to drive change, build great institutions, and promote economic growth and prosperity,” Coulson stated.

Mr. Giuliani is currently chairman and chief executive officer of Giuliani Partners LLC, a company he formed in 2002 to help managers solve critical strategic issues, accelerate growth, and enhance the reputation and brand of their organizations. Additionally, in 2005 he became a name partner in the law firm Bracewell & Giuliani.

Mr. Giuliani served two terms as mayor of the City of New York. Under his leadership, New York City became the best-known example of the resurgence of urban America. A recipient of numerous awards for his leadership and management skills he was most recently named “Consultant of the Year” by Consulting Magazine. For his guidance and steady hand following 9/11 he was named Person of the Year by Time Magazine, knighted by the Queen of England, dubbed “Rudy the Rock” by French President Jacques Chirac, and presented the Ronald Reagan Presidential Freedom Award.

Prior to serving as mayor, Mr. Giuliani held several law enforcement and legal positions including U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. He also practiced law in private practice.

“The LAVA Investment Capital Conference is the premier forum in the country dedicated to promoting the development and financing of emerging growth and middle market companies. I encourage company principals, financiers and their advisors that if they only have time to attend one conference in 2006, this should be the one,” said Brad Jones, founding partner of Redpoint Ventures and conference co-chair.

The event will include providers of capital covering every stage of the corporate lifecycle from startup to exit, representing over $50 billion in capital and hundreds of transactions annually. The conference features a two-track program of panel discussions followed by a turbo-charged “deal making” forum designed to connect entrepreneurs, CEOs, CFOs, and company advisors top capital providers in the nation.

“The capital markets continue to be awash with vast amounts of liquidity seeking quality investment opportunities,” said Bryon Roth, conference co-chair and chairman and CEO of Roth Capital Partners. “For over a decade this conference has succeeded in supporting the growth of entrepreneurial companies by providing information, advice and direct access to financing from the leading providers of growth capital, both equity and debt.”
