Darrell Askey has more than 25 years of operations and financial management experience. Most recently Mr. Askey was the CEO of Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corp., a TSG Consumer Partners portfolio company that received the 2005 "Turnaround Deal of the Year" award at the 4th Annual M&A Advisor Awards. Mauna Loa achieved record revenue and cash flow growth before being sold to The Hershey Company.
Mr. Askey’s experience also includes COO/EVP of Met-Rx USA, a leading sports nutrition company, as well as CFO/EVP of Celestial Seasonings, a publicly traded company that is now part of the Hain/Celestial Group.
Mr. Askey spent several years in the biotechnology industry and participated in the start-up and growth of companies like Cholestech, Inc., and Genentech, Inc.
Mr. Askey received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Miami University, and is a CPA in the state of California.
