In 2001 the firm obtained a directed verdict after two months of trial before a jury in Orange County, California, on behalf of a nationally known campground owner-operator in a dispute over trademarks and other complex commercial issues. The firm recently obtained a defense verdict against a claim for more than $7.5 million in a jury trial in a federal trademark dispute, a defense verdict for the State of California and the Governor’s office against a $250 million contract claim, and complete victory for an overseas manufacturer of laptop computers in a patent infringement case watched closely by the industry.
